11:11... sounds like such a grand time. Well behaved rascals and the merriment, as the Nun hugs back.

There is a lot of fun here in the moment -- music, laughter. Perhaps some drink too much alcohol ... But there are a lot who don't need drinks to be happy.
Yesterday afternoon there was a carnival procession for the children (especially for children) in my suburb. Families come from the whole town and from other towns. There were 70 000 visitors.
Best wishes,
Angelika

Altweiber, Rosenmontag, Veilchendienstag - but Aschermittwoch it's all over. And Mr. Devil and Ms. Nun are back in their real worlds. This one makes me smile and think, Angelika.
Thank you, John and Ralf!
In the afternoon my husband and I were in Bottrop (a neighbor-town of Oberhausen) and we saw clowns, then pirates who just left their van. Some time later a penguin, wow!
But then ...
We saw young people (I suppose 16 or 18 or so ...) with bottles of vodka. They drank it like water ... Terrible ...
But as Ralf said:
Ash Wednesday "...it's all over."
Its carnival time in T&T also

A nice haiku, Juhani!
Soon we will enjoy the camellia bushes in bloom (red and white). They will bring color to our garden.
