sultry day
reading about a yawn
and joining in

poem
on the plane
a steward
is asking
about wishes
and he means
tea coffee juice
but this small boy
with curly hair
actually longs for
a dog
it's summer
small birds
have the courage
to start their day
unless human-caused
troubles
their songs
lemons

Vorsicht! Da liegt
die andere Brille!
Frappé im Glas,
Eiswürfel klimpern.
Eine Elster meckert,
Wildtauben gurren und
ich kann dieses Gurren
nicht ausstehen.
The noise barrier.
Behind it gardens
with sheds and flags.
A strange smell
from somewhere.
The good things are
nearly ripe apples,
flowers, berries, coffee
in blue cups.
Nacktschnecken!
Kenne keinen,
der sie mag! Keinen!
Magst du Wolken,
fragte ich die KI.
Ja, ich mag Wolken,
war die Antwort.
Danach ging es um
Wasser und Eis.

Blue butterflies!
The fact that
I don't know
their name
doesn't bother them -
they even thanked me
for watching.
These dragonflies!
Really and truly
goddesses!

would return
