I like this "karumi", this late style of Basho (in German "Leichtigkeit"). And I remind of Issa who suffered of mosquitoes. This ku is a hommage on Issa as well.
Being proud is human. Some count bites, others count other things. Soon these boys might receive some medals. Hopefully they did well in sports ... Nice one, Angelika!
