haiku
no black ice here
now my ego pretends
to be brave
(AW, Jan 2026)
severe frost
these blue tits are doing
everything right
cold air
the magpie's calls
like cuts
snow flurry
fluffy jasmine rice
for dinner
in this wintry city
these brave people
and their cuppas
our garden in winter; photo: Martin G. Wienert
poem
salt was spread
the dog owner's
complaint
he is carrying
oranges in a net
big oranges
six suns on this winter day
New Year's Eve
parts of the world already
in the dreamland
(AW, Dec 2025)
frying vegan schnitzel
loving the scent
last day of the year
for some hours
some are philosophers today
we may participate online
it's quite interesting
because they share a wisdom
which has deep roots
in the so called everyday life
and this means a holy thing
a house not far away
its demolition is in progress
wood is piled up
stones next to it
some parts of the roof are left
and now birds are flying over it
as they did in the past
end December
these busy people around
like the blue tits do
winter sunshine
a blackbird seems to have
a hidden plan
a dazzling
dazzling
winter sun
on this frosty day
the slightly sweet flavour
of a dark beer
- o - o - o - * - o - o -
Christmas
the good china
is washed by hand
and so the glasses
with your wet finger
along the rim
you can make music
angelic
in some kind
today
frosty morning no hurry
to bring the coffee grounds
to the garden
* o * o * o *
this will happen today
choirs of angels:
peace is a big thing
- o - o - * - o -
- o - o - o - o - o - * - o - o -
from far
echoes
the r in truth
was never for
rumour
there will be buds
and liveliness is
a true promise
- o - o - o - o - * - o - o - o -
Christmas songs
coffee and croissants
with sweet jam
winter solstice
one can't escape
its allure
