Bottrop is a neighbortown of my hometown Oberhausen. In Bottrop you can visit the famous Halde (slag heap) Haniel which has been greened over. On the Halde Haniel you will find a lot of beautiful plants, butterflies, a big cross, stations of the cross (Pope John Paul II visited this place), modern art (see the photo) and more.

the place looks mysterious and desolate, :)

_I love this form, in the photo at Bottrop; Easter Island with its stone figures comes to mind.
_The haiku... fits the summer 'child' that -each of us hold inside-.
